The Assistant Superintendent Intern will support the Project Staff and have a great deal of input in the overall planning and oversight of the job. This includes scheduling of manpower, obtaining tools and materials needed, filing permits and other documents, and even advising on budget expenditures. Additionally, they will observe work in the field, compare drawings to ensure installation accuracy, provide on-site supervision of the daily workload, job site safety, and the reporting of all of these aspects to the Project Managers and Project Superintendents.

In this role you will assist superintendent team members, subcontractors, and laborers in managing construction projects.

Supervise construction employees and to accomplish work within budget and schedule.

Maintain positive working relationships with all construction groups, management, owners, trades, and subcontractors.

Support a zero-injury safety culture on each project.

You will be expected to provide guidance and leadership.

Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University.

Successful internships or Assistant Superintendent Intern experience on projects of at least $5 million (design-build preferred) is a plus.

General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.

Excellent communication skills.

Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work is a plus.

Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency.

A solid understanding of the company's Safety-First philosophy and practice.

Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.

Very strong work ethic with the willingness to travel and/or relocate.

Capable to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding.

Ability to lift objects at least 50lbs.

Intern Hourly Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour based on expected college graduation month/year.
