The Structural Designer II will be working with in-house Development, Architecture, and Construction teams to provide Structural Design and Quality Assurance on industrial (distribution, manufacturing, food and beverage, and cold storage) projects for our nationwide clients. This role is for the Kansas City or St. Louis metro area and is an on-site position.
Scope of Responsibility: The Structural Designer II is to work closely with more experienced engineers and designers to assists in the development of deliverables. This individual is expected to execute work on one or more intermediate level tasks simultaneously as delegated by the Lead or Sr. Designer. This individual may also delegate some basic and fundamental tasks to Entry-Level Designers and provide oversight of their work. This individual shall be able to work self-sufficiently most of the time and understands the basics of communicating effectively with the engineers and other disciplines involved in the project.
The Specifics of the Role:
Requirements: Associate's degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree. (or 3+ years of experience utilizing BIM software)
2-5 years of experience required, in an operating company or design firm setting.
