The Interior Designer contributes to the design and execution of high-quality residential and commercial projects. This role involves collaboration across all phases of the design process, including site visits, client presentations, and coordination with vendors. The Interior Designer is responsible for sourcing materials, tracking budgets, and ensuring seamless project execution, both domestically and internationally. This position also supports the Senior Designer and provides leadership and mentorship to junior staff members.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with the Senior Designer during all phases of the design process.
• Conduct site visits and observations to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Perform Revit modeling and/or AutoCAD detailing.
• Prepare and lead client presentations with professionalism and creativity.
• Create and maintain relationships with vendors to facilitate project needs.
• Source hard finishes, furniture, fabrics, and accessories for projects.
• Request and review vendor quotes for accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
• Create and follow project budgets, ensuring proper change orders are placed to prevent budget overruns.
• Review, approve, place, and track orders to maintain project timelines.
• Travel domestically and internationally for project installations.
• Stay informed on current industry trends by pursuing educational opportunities.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering professional growth.
• Attend client, vendor, software, and company training sessions, as well as tradeshows and meetings.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and nights during peak project phases.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the Senior Designer.

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in Interior Design or relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of experience working with an architectural or interior design firm, preferably in luxury residential and hospitality projects.
• NCIDQ license preferred
• Proficient in Revit or CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of LEED or Well Building Standards preferred but not required.
• Able to lift 50lbs, stand for long periods, and willing to travel internationally.
