Design Director - Workplace Interiors (M/F/D)
As Design Director - Workplace Interiors (m/f/d), you will play a key role in our Berlin studio. You will lead our design team, shape our creative culture and take design quality to a new level.
In this versatile position, which combines design, strategy and creative project management, your focus will be on excellent design in all phases of the project.
You will promote best practices, inspire others with your vision and contribute to a curious, creative team culture with your integrative and collaborative approach. Together, we want to exceed customer expectations and rethink design – as an emotional experience that enriches everyday life.
Your Role
- You will be responsible for the creative quality of all workplace interiors projects in the Munich studio – and will also set standards in your own projects.
- As the central point of contact for clients, you will manage the design process, maintain close and trusting relationships, and ensure that your design vision exceeds the set goals.
- You will act as an integrator and catalyst, working with internal design networks and promoting synergies across projects and disciplines.
- You define the creative basis of a project – formulating goals, strategies and a clear conceptual direction – and work with your team to develop the big idea across all phases.
- As a leader, you contribute your expertise to every phase of the project, identify opportunities and risks early on, and guide your team confidently through complex tasks.
- You set the design direction, promote sustainable thinking and ensure that climate goals and future-oriented solutions are an integral part of every project.
- As a mentor, you inspire young talent, engage with the design community and give good, sustainable design a strong voice.
Your Qualifications
- Several years of experience in design, preferably in the architecture or design industry
- At least 10 years of professional experience – nationally and internationally in architecture or interior design
- Master's degree in architecture or interior design
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Experience in all project phases – from concept to implementation
- Proven experience in leading teams and solving complex technical and design challenges
- Passion for customer service and leadership
- High level of initiative, adaptability and enjoyment of working in a dynamic environment
- In-depth knowledge of storytelling, idea development and spatial planning
- Good knowledge of building regulations
- Revit skills are an advantage
- Fluent in German and English
