Senior Interior Designer

As a Gensler Senior Interior Designer, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You are an integral member of the design team who contributes a point of view and craves participation in conceptual thought process and design exploration. With you as part of our team, interiors have never been so engaging. What you will do includes leading interior design teams on projects, collaborating on workplace interiors projects, developing space planning concepts, participating in selection of furniture systems and specifications, providing project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction, working with consultants, developers, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives, assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination, contributing to office activities, initiatives and learning programs, participating in business development and marketing efforts, assuring design conforms to contractual agreement with client, establishing and maintaining ongoing, productive client relationships, providing quality control reviews, QAQC of milestone drawing and FF&E specification deliverables, providing coaching and mentorship to team members, and contributing to the recruitment process of new staff.

Your qualifications include 15+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus on hospitality interiors and workplace design experience, a bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school, NCIDQ or Certified Interior Designer required, proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other modeling software programs, experience on interior renovation of historical buildings, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), strong knowledge of the design process, knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, millwork design, accessories, and specifications, experience with construction document preparation, graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas, and strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.

All applications must include a portfolio for full consideration. The base salary will be estimated between $120,000 - $135,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
