Summer Experience Design Intern
As a Summer Experience Design Intern in our New York office, you will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, brand, and strategy, collaborating with other designers across disciplines and sectors. You'll contribute to a wide range of project types, including exhibits, workplace, hospitality, retail, and experiential environments, helping shape how brands come to life through physical and digital touchpoints.
This is a full-time program running from June 2 through August 7, 2026. You must be available for the entire duration of the program. This is not a remote position.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to the design of integrated brand and digital experiences, including digital media, interactive moments, and spatial storytelling
- Support project work across multiple phases, from concept and visioning through design development and production
- Collaborate closely with brand designers, digital experience designers, architects, interior designers, and strategists to create cohesive, experience-led solutions
- Participate in experience mapping and narrative development that bridges brand strategy and spatial design
- Visualize design solutions through motion studies, sketches, diagrams, models, and prototypes
- Gain exposure to designing at architectural scale, including an understanding of drawings, coordination, and real-world implementation
- Work with fellow interns on a student-led project serving the local community
Your Qualifications
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Communication Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Design Technology, or another relevant program. Interior Design and Architecture coursework is also a bonus.
- You have completed your third year of an undergraduate program or first year of a graduate program and are returning to your program post-internship. This internship is not for recent graduates.
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of the fundamentals of design – including color theory, typography, composition, scale, and motion.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Figma.
- Experience with Blender and Cinema 4D is a plus.
