Your Role

Gensler Columbus is seeking a talented, emerging architectural professional to join our team as a Technical Designer. In this role, you'll tackle complex design challenges—both conceptually and technically—while collaborating with integrated project teams to develop innovative solutions. You're self-motivated, team-oriented, and recognize the value of every contribution throughout each phase of a project. What You Will Do

  • Work with project teams in all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and implementation
  • Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
  • Develop and participate in internal and client presentations
  • Participate in the construction administration process, ensuring the successful delivery of the design intent
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, learning programs, and external presence in the market

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related architecture project experience
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office required
  • Organized, creative, collaborative, and independent with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
  • Passion for sustainable practices and interest in working towards certification (LEED, FitWell, etc.)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a professionally accredited program
