Urban Designer

Gensler Urban Designer, Mid Level

As a Gensler Urban Designer, mid level, you will collaborate with our Design Directors to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images, and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do

• Participate in all project planning phases, including conceptual designs and presentations.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
• Produce graphic presentations, including 2D and 3D renderings
• Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture and/or urban planning and design
• 8+years of related project experience
• Proficiency in modeling using 2D/3D software, such as CAD, Revit, Octane, 3dViz, 3d Studio MAX, and/or Rhino utilizing Vray
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and SketchUp
• Knowledge of relevant zoning codes and other planning regulations
• Licensure and LEED accreditation a plus
