Human Resources Manager

Supports and implements human resource projects, policies and programs with primary focus areas that include career pathways, employee communications, policy and procedure development and administration, compliance, employment and labor laws and metrics and reporting in a multistate and multinational environment. Seeks opportunities to provide support in order to achieve firm values and goals. Strong written and interpersonal communication with all levels in the organization and high attention to detail. Anticipates job expectations and contributes to human resources solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates to drive continuous improvement and project delivery excellence throughout the firm by identifying and adopting best practices, maintaining a proactive sense of the business' needs
  • Collaborates with HR Operations Manager on the development, implementation and administration of career pathways across teams
  • Creates and maintains updates to job descriptions and job classifications for roles across the firm, in collaboration with the HR Operations Manager
  • Edits job descriptions with attention to detail and maintains style consistency of firm job descriptions
  • Supports the firm's annual job role promotion process with the HR Operations Manager, including audits, process administration and partnering with leadership to evaluate roles
  • Analyzes and audits current policies, processes, and procedures and recommends potential changes, updates or enhancements, including the standardization of HR processes
  • Collaborates in the development of, revision and implementation of HR related documents, policies and forms and works to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Monitors and proactively reacts to overall HR metrics, trends, and performance for assigned projects, in consultation and collaboration with Talent leaders
  • Supports the implementation of strategic Talent/HR initiatives and deliverables in partnership with Talent/HR leaders
  • Participates on committees, special projects and seeks additional responsibilities in collaboration with Talent Team to impact the employee life cycle in a positive manner
  • Conducts new hire orientations
  • Collaborates on onboarding process in Workday, including auditing overall process for improvements in collaboration with onboarding team
  • Oversees I-9 processing in collaboration with new hires and local admins
  • Manages the processes of departing employees, including paperwork and coordination with IT
  • Conducts exit interviews for respective employees, analyzes data and makes recommendations to Talent leadership and firm leadership for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Creates HRIS reports and conducts regular audits of HRIS data to ensure data accuracy
  • Works to build collaborative and effective relationships with leaders that enable partnerships in providing HR support
  • Responds to employee inquiries pertaining to company policies and procedures
  • Assists in tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions
  • May collaborate in corrective action support with designated HR team members
  • May collaborate with HR Operations Manager in compensation matters and processes
  • May collaborate with HR Operations Manager in articulating the firm's total compensation plan to employees/leadership
  • Stays current with overall human resources trends and best practices and provide feedback to HR management
  • Travel may be required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree
  • Typically with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
  • Ability to identify and provide input/feedback to other team members as well as other departments to ensure firm needs are met and objectives are obtained
  • Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to proactively problem solve and apply innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment, and ability to work independently and prioritize work
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
  • In Office Days Requirement: 3 days required in the Dallas office
