Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for analyzing accounts receivable and related revenues across domestic and foreign business segments

• Responsible for preparing monthly accounting entries and reconciliations for receivable and deposit accounts, including research and reporting on variances

• Perform monthly and ad hoc analysis related to transaction processing, expenses and business/industry trends for the accounting and management teams

• Build and develop models to analyze current and potential business decisions

• Support in the development and testing of system enhancements to ensure consistency and compliance with accounting principles

• Prepare and explain support documentation for our external auditors

• Improve efficiency in accounting workflows

• Manage escalations as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree--preferably in accounting, business administration, economics, or information technology

• Accounting experience

• Must be data-driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Proficient in Excel and Access

• Must be open-minded and adaptable to change—as well willing to suggest possible change(s)/enhancement(s) to current policies and procedures

• Excellent organization and time-management skills

• Capable of being flexible and working efficiently/effectively in a dynamic setting

• Strong communication skills across all mediums and audience types (technical, business, inter and intra departmental, etc.)

Additional, Desired Requirements

• Knowledge of credit card and merchant processing industry

• Experience with large data sets

• SQL and BI analytics platform experience (e.g., Oracle Analytics, MicroStrategy, and/or Monarch)
