About The Role
As a senior designer at Maverick Design, you'll lead the creative journey from concept to completion, shaping the look and feel of beautifully reimagined homes. You'll set the design direction, bring bold ideas to life, and ensure every project captures Maverick's signature balance of sophistication, livability, and market appeal. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with directors, project managers, and leadership to translate vision into reality while mentoring designers, refining processes, and driving innovation through new design initiatives and creative strategy. What You'll Do
- Lead the creative vision for each project from initial concept through completion, covering interior, exterior, and landscape design
- Visit properties to evaluate potential, define design strategy, and develop concepts that enhance value while staying within budget
- Collaborate with directors, project managers, and fellow designers to craft strategic, market-driven design plans for every home
- Create thoughtful floor plan iterations and design solutions in AutoCAD, optimizing spaces through additions, reconfigurations, and open-concept layouts
- Develop and present drawings, sketches, and design packages that bring your concepts to life and align with brand standards
- Select cohesive, high-impact materials, finishes, and palettes that reflect Maverick's elevated aesthetic and resonate with local buyers
- Oversee material logistics, staging coordination, and budget planning to ensure seamless execution and design integrity
- Partner with vendors, contractors, and property managers to maintain quality, timelines, and alignment throughout each phase
- Mentor and support designers, sharing feedback and best practices to strengthen the overall creative standard
- Contribute to innovation across the studio by leading special initiatives, design guides, and presentations that elevate Maverick's brand presence
- Represent Maverick Design and Wedgewood with professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in every project
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in interior design or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience in residential design
- Strong knowledge of residential architecture, design principles, and style trends
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Canva, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for color, materials, and composition
- Ability to balance creativity with functionality and market awareness

The salary range for this position is $85,000- $115,000 annually. In addition, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
